Moss Side Sauna Club continue their descent into musical chaos with the phenomenal ‘122BPM’. The track opens as a synth-backed piece of pop topped by a simple hook. But short bursts of distorted guitar quickly ensure that everything is just that little bit on edge, before the descent into an instrumental that feels as much like Calvin Harris as it does Deftones. Despite the track’s intensity and genre-defying flexibility, it never loses its swagger and catchy pop appeal. The band say: “This is our next flex, giving a simple answer to the question: ‘122bpm?
